XPS 8950, video display help

Question

When purchased, I assumed this device would have dual outputs like he last 200 desktops I've ever bought from Dell.

So I have my main display DP to DP port. My second display using HDMI to Type C and it doesn't register. The laptop works fine with cable and monitor and so does my phone just not the XPS desktop.

Does it not support this kind of cable and if not is there an alternative to get dual displays?
