XPS/Dimension 410/9200 downloading Intel(R) Chipset 17.5.3.1026 through WU

My desk top downloaded the above automatically through Windows Update this morning when I turned on the desktop. Mine is with Windows 10 Pro V1909

I have not restarted the computer as what normally suggested following a download.

I googling the above details suggest few having problem at reboot following the download.

Is there any means I could remove this if on my restart my desk top develops BSOD or fail to boot?

(If the the worst scenario to happen, could I do a clean reinstall the Win 10 from a disk?)

I am as ever very thankful to your time and suggestion.
