Adding Fingerprint Reader to XPS 15 9560

I have a Dell XPS 15 9560 without a fingerprint reader. The seat for one of the screws has broken so that the bottom partly separates from the palmrest when I open it. Since I am likely going to have to buy a replacement palmrest,  I was wondering if it is possible to add a fingerprint reader. Is the motherboard the same but with the fingerprint reader unused?
