@RedNeX

First method:

Create a new folder on your desktop named “BIOS Update”

Then download your BIOS update.

version 11.1.1

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/RC1378895/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=5yg2n&oscode=wt64a&productcode=g-series-17-7790-laptop

Copy the update to that folder you just created.

Close all Windows and Apps you may have open.

Go to the folder and right click on the update file and “Run as Administrator”

Second method:

Create a bootable USB drive using “Rufus”

https://rufus.ie/

Copy the BIOS update to the bootable USB drive you just created..

Insert USB drive, power-on and start tapping the “ F12 “ key.

Boot from USB and run the BIOS update.

After reboot test and post any results.

Best regards,

U2

Hi Team,

My laptop is Dell precision 5520 has the same problem, after i updated to the latest BIOS 1.19.2, the Intel XTU was disabled almost all functions. Does Dell have any corrective actions on this issue?
Now, I cannot downgrade the BIOS with the error "ME Firmware Downgrade was not allowed" "ME update fail". Both methods downgrade by (.exe) file and USB are fail ME.
Do you have any solutions, can Dell update new BIOS to fix it?
Thanks!

Is your laptop warranty still valid? If yes, you can contact to Dell and request them solve this problem.
My laptop is out warranty, so they refused support.
It is very clear that new BIOS of Dell made this issue and they should have actions to fix this bug as soon as possible but it seems they don't care about this.

Unfortunately, my laptop warranty was invalid. However, I found Throttlestop was still working for undervolting and the offset voltage option didn't grey out. FYI I followed this tutorial to undervolt my laptop. Good luck!

Same problem here with a 5530. I tried throttlestop but it doesn't work. I can change the voltage value, but the edit does have no effect... I don't jnow what to do!!

I found a fix. read my post
and if you do decide to downgrade your bios and you see "ME Firmware Downgrade was not allowed" "ME update fail" dont worry your bios was downgraded just search dxdiag and run it it will show you your bios version.
