Automatic key press in XPS 9370

Question

I Have a XPS 9370 and since two days the left arrow key is getting pressed automatically multiple times.
It will stop if i press left arrow key few times but will start again if i use any other arrow keys..
At first the key press were very frequent and more in number, few days later both frequency and the number decreased.

Is it a hardware problem or a software problem.
If its a virus then which software is recommended to detect and clean the virus

Do you have an external keyboard that you can connect to the usb port and see if the issue is present on it as well?

For Windows 8,8.1 and 10

Click on the windows button and type control panel , select it
In control panel look for the regional option and click on it
Click on the languages tab
Under text services and input languages, click on the details button
Under installed services, click add
In the add input language dialog box, choose the input language and keyboard layout or input method editor (IME) you want to add
Click OK twice. You should now see a language indicator in the system tray (located at bottom right hand corner of the desktop by default). You can switch between different input languages(= keyboard languages) by pressing the Alt + Shift keys

Does the issue happen in safe mode?

Windows 10 Boot to Safe Mode

1. From the Advanced Startup Options screen click "Startup Settings".

2. On the "Startup Settings" screen, click the "Restart" button".

3. On the following screen, select the corresponding number for the version of Safe Mode required.

4. The system will reboot to Safe Mode

It sounds like a hardware issue, primarily a bad keyboard. However try plugging in an external keyboard and see if the issue stops.
