BIOS UPDATE 9530 A09 to A10

So today I went to scan for drivers for my Dell XPS 15 9530 and it said it needed a BIOS update from A09 to A10, it prompted me to close all programs before starting and so I did, then it got stuck at 50% and fans at full speed, I read some people say it's bricked but I'm out of warranty, some say to unplug it and let the battery drain some others say to let it go for a full day, what should I do? Please help, it's been stuck for 2 hours now. I noticed though that the clock updated the time once, it was stuck at 8:31 and it says 9:04 now, so not sure if it's still running.

Last update in reference to anybody, after 5 hours it reached 100% it rebooted and it works fine now thank God, be patient, don't unplug it and let it finish for as long as it needs!

The clock changed again to 9:53 and the percentage to 53% after 3 hours, I think it is still working on it, hopefully it'll be solved if I leave it overnight, still any comments would be appreciated.

i'm in exactly same situation with a bios update from a10 to a11, i.e seems to be stuck at 50%. Hopefully I'll have the same result after leaving it for a few hours. I'll provide an update.
