Battery will not charge when plugged in
Hello,
I have a XPS 13 9360 that will not charge with a 45W DC charger. The battery will stay constant when plugged in but will not increase. The white light does not come on.
What I have done:
- Bought a new DELL 45W charger - did not charge
- Bought and replaced DC power input jack with cable - did not charge
- Used a USB-C charger from a new model XPS - charged slowly with a warning notification, light came on
What is the next step to solving this?
Thank you.

I have exactly the same issue with the charger for my XPS 13. I am now on my third 45W Dell-branded adaptor, which has just failed (white LED on connector no longer lights).
Could it be that old & failing batteries in the XPS are causing the PSU to fail (though the last two failures seemed to be mechanical problems, with the power lead flexing or breaking).
The battery time is now very poor on the XPS, but it seems the only 'official' remedy is to return the laptop to Dell for a replacement. I can see no way to purchase the 'official' battery so that I can install it myself (though there are several 3rd-party products on the internet).
