Bluetooth not turned on, driver does not exist
Disclaimer: This is for a G3 model. Selected category is for XPS, as no option for G3 exists.
Hi all,
I've been having some trouble getting my Bluetooth to work. It's been on and off for a while with no real input from me.
I've tried the following methods of getting it working again:
- Showing hidden devices in Device Manager, updating each Bluetooth driver, all of which are already updated to the latest version.
- Opening BIOS, unchecking and checking the Bluetooth box in the Wireless tab and Wireless Device tab.
- Restarted Bluetooth support service in .msconfig .
- Tried running the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter through Command Prompt:
msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
No results from any of these options.
Any help would be much appreciated

There are still some things we can do to try and resolve the issue:
1) Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
On Cortana's search box, type, "Troubleshooting" > left-click on the result > Hardware and Sound > open Hardware and Devices and follow the on-screen instructions.
2) Restart Bluetooth Support Service.
Press the Windows key + R, then type "services.msc". Once the Services window opens, locate Restart Bluetooth Support Service > right-click > Restart.
After so, right-click on it again, choose Properties, then ensure startup type is on Automatic.
Once done, please restart your computer and see if the wireless keyboard and mouse are functioning.
