Can't reply to topics?

Hi Dell,

I opened a thread here and I cannot reply in it? When I type in the reply and click "post", it'll show as "Success!" and 2 replies to the topic:

When I then go back to the thread, my reply is gone and there is just one reply to the topic:

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks, fassy

Thanks! I actually have the posting in Notepad ;)

Tried to resubmit 10 times, always with the same result. Says it was posted successful, next reload it's gone.

EDIT: Tried once more and finally, it posted...

Nothing.  It's one of several problems that occur on this relaunched forum.  I've noticed it myself.  I've also noticed that editing a post sometimes causes it to vanish, or sometimes it will say that it's now waiting on moderator approval, but it never appears in a list of post pending approval nor back in the thread.  And if you weren't signed in when you click Submit, then after you log in, you get bounced to the Communities homepage and guess what, your post didn't get submitted -- and if you click Back a few times, you can get back to the post entry page, but your post will be gone.

It's gotten to the point where I now copy/paste a post into Notepad before I submit it in case it doesn't actually get through.  Sometimes just resubmitting the same post allows it to take the second time, but there are a couple of threads here where I'm trying to help people and can't because my posts simply aren't sticking.

Multiple Postings of the same message causes your account to be flagged as spam.

Your posts are now "live", please edit as needed.  Thanks.

Hi Robert,

Thanks. That is not a very convincing way to prevent **bleep**... I just wanted to reply once, and that one posting did not appear. So I tried again... which then triggers a **bleep** protection?

Why not just prevent people from replying to themselves like a lot of other forums do it? This way you can only edit your last post and all is good.

Thanks,

fassy

btw, why can't i say sp*m and it gets replaced with **bleep**? I never thought that word would be offensive? And you used it in your posting?

I can't  post a question or reply. This is the only place I found that I can Reply. Do I need to do something? Does my account need verification? Any help is appreciated.

Hi Pishpeki,

Thanks for your post.  Apologies that you're having difficulties posting on the Forums.

It would appear you are able to post, which particular post are you trying to respond to?  Please post the URL so it can be checked out.  Thanks.

I am unable to reply to this topic as I magically now have the same issue they are talking about there. It doesn't indicate that the thread is closed or anything..
