Dell Update and SupportAssist Not Working
I currently have a problem where SupportAssist and (possibly) Dell Update are not working properly. The problems are: 1. Windows notifies me that a Dell update is available. I click on the link for more details but nothing happens except the notification disappears. 2. I then go to the Dell Drivers and downloads site for my laptop and click on Detect Drivers. It (always) says I need download SupportAssist 3. I accept the download for SupportAssist and try to install it but the installer then says Installation cancelled because the latest version is already installed! 4. Both SupportAssist and Dell Update appear to work if I run them manually but they often disagree on how many updates are available - I don't know if this is relevant though. I've tried uninstalling both SupportAssist and Dell Update which was suggested elsewhere but the problem still persists. SupportAssist version is 3.2.2.119 and Dell Update version is 3.0 and I'm running an XPS 13 9360 with Windows 10. Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes for this? TIA

Hi Dazz2017,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.
Have you tried removing all instances of Dell SupportAssist? Some users have reported up to 3 instances running at the same time and had to use a 3rd party program remover to get them all. Please try that, then download the latest version of SupportAssist.
If you still require assistance and the system is under warranty, you may contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.
If there is no warranty, then you could contact our Out of Warranty team to get a quote for a paid service request.

Hi Robert,
I've checked and no duplicate instances are running.

Hi Dazz2017,
After removing all of SupportAssist and rebooting your computer, then reinstalling the latest version of SupportAssist, are you still getting the same error message?
Also have you updated the BIOS on this system yet?
I don't seem to have your Service Tag Number yet, so please contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.

same here , supportAssist is not working after just one day. I would say after the first round of updates.
What s the point having that software advertised as a feature for Premium support ?
Money back Dell !
