Dell XPS 13 (7390) Apple Earbud Mic not working

I'm trying to connect my apple wired earbuds to my headphone jack and I can hear the audio perfectly fine, but whenever I try to use the mic it doesn't work. Usually, when I use Discord or Microsoft Teams, it's the laptop's mic that picks up the audio. I can live with this, but when I'm trying to video call on my browser, the mic either picks up nothing or some of my voice and then fades to nothing.

I tried going to the control panel and looking through the recording tab, and I saw that even though my earbuds are plugged in, it says that there's nothing plugged into the Jack Mic.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with Apple's compatibility with my laptop or not.

Please help...
