Dell XPS 13 9300 Developer edition (Camera only displaying 640 * 480 resolution and not 720p)
Greetings, in the preferences for the Cheese application the webcam only shows a max resolution of 640 * 480. I assume it should also have an option for 1280 * 720, however it is not present.
Another issue is that my fingerprint scanner is not detected by Ubuntu 20.04. Thanks!

1280 * 720 is not supported in ubuntu

cheese is using generic driver and this software is not supported by dell.

Both the gsettings command-line tool and the dconf utility are used to view and change user settings. The gsettings utility does so directly in the terminal, while the dconf utility uses the dconf-editor GUI for editing a configuration database.

That's interesting, on my Thinkpad T450, Cheese supports 720p mode. Is it due to the fact that like you said the generic driver is not supported by Dell? Thanks!
