Dell XPS 15 9560 Trackpad Bulging Out
The trackpad on my Dell XPS 15 9560 is sticking up and won't click down. Has anyone had this issue before? I saw a similar post but on an older model and it sounds like the battery may be bulging and it's dangerous? I called Dell but they said I could pre-pay to have every single part in my laptop replaced and then they'd send a tech out in 5-7 biz days to repair it.
Is this really how Dell treats their business customers? I would think it's in Dell's best interest to make sure a battery doesn't explode in one of their laptops.

Without a doubt the battery is the culprit. And I would suggest removing it as soon as you possibly can. It can damage the laptop in which case the repairs could be extensive if reparable at all. More than likely that is why Dell tech support suggested replacing all the major parts. They must believe the damage has reached that point. It can lead to some safety hazards which is why I would remove the battery as quickly as possible and dispose of it in an Eco friendly manner. Google your model battery swelled for more information.
