Dell XPS 15 9570 Fan Rattling Noise
Hey Guys!
So I've had my xps laptop for over a year now, and about 2 days ago my fans (it seems to be the left fan) started making a rattling noise similar to the one in this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq-Vti5wXcs
I've gone through afew things to try fix the problem:
Completed the pre-boot diagnostic test, with no issues found.
Updated the BIOS and thermal management, which had no effect.
I cleaned the fans externally through the vents with an air compressed can and no effect.
Any suggestions?

Is it difficult to do? I'm scared about breaking something.
Would it be better to get someone else to do it? or get dell support (I would have to renew my warranty tho).

It is reasonably straightforward to replace a fan in this model (service manual below). You're likely to find that even if you are allowed a warranty extension purchase, it'll be several hundred dollars that might be better saved to pay for any required future repair than spent on the warranty.
A local computer shop can replace the fan for you -- for whatever an hour's labor costs in your area -- if you don't want to replace it yourself.
