Dell XPS 7590 Sound not working
Hello,
The sound on my XPS 7590 i7 is not working. I recently removed the cover and disconnected the battery to perform a reset to fix another problem and since then the sound no longer works.
I was getting an amber light near the touchpad and the laptop would shutdown completely when I unplugged the power cord. This no longer happens now that I reset the laptop but since I fixed that the sound will not work.
Bluetooth headphones work fine but the speakers produce no sound.
I ran a diagnostic on windows 10 and it could not find any problem. I ran Dell diagnostic test using reboot then hold F12. The test was passed with no problems found. I installed the latest Realtek audio driver and still no sound.
When I had the back off of the laptop I cleaned up some a little bit of dust that I found inside. Could this have caused the problem with the speakers? I cleaned the speakers also with the cue-tips but I did this very gently.
I would appreciate any suggestions :')
Thank you

Did you hear sound when you ran diagnostics? If so then the speakers and connections are fine and it would be a driver or Windows related problem.

Make sure you unplug the headphones to hear sound from speakers. When the headphones are disconnected sound is directed to speakers.

@Ben19851 During F12 > Diagnostics
You have an option of Quick Audio Test
Perform it to find if it's a hardware issue.
Also do wired headphone work.

Thank you friend, I will borrow some wired headphones and test them. When I open the diagnostic menu there is no option for quick audio test. I googled an image for what the button should look like (bottom right of screen) but this is missing when I open diagnostics
thank you

Yes you are right >. Dell has updated their EPSA Diagnostics to SupportAssist Pre boot Diagnostics for this model
you must have an option ADVACED TEST which lets you to do individual tests on Speakers.
