How are you connecting the mouse to the laptop, the WiFi dongle or via Bluetooth? Do you have any USB 3.0 devices attached to your laptop? There is a known issue with interference between USB 3.0 and wireless devices using the 2.4 GHz band including WiFi and Bluetooth. For a mouse, it can cause delay in response or wild responses to those devices. If you are using the WiFi dongle, make sure it is not near any USB 3.0 devices or plugs.
I have a Logitech MX Ergo and connect it to my computer via Bluetooth. I looked through Device Manager for any power management options for the mouse or Bluetooth in general but could not find any. I looked at the MX Ergo entry in the Bluetooth section and it had none. I also checked the HID-compliant mouse information. I had two, one for the USB dongle version, which did have a power management option, and the Bluetooth version which did not have the option so I don't know if you can turn off letting Bluetooth go to sleep. I also checked the Logitech Options software and that had no turn off sleep option. I use this brand mouse on several computers and have not noticed any extreme difficulties with it.

Any chance you, or maybe even members of the Dell community here, can provide the workaround without having to pull asset/warranty information?
Thanks,

Hope that helps a little.
