@Crruzer  As long as the display's resolution is 1920x1200 or lower, any DisplayPort to HDMI cable will get the job done.  If it's higher than that, you'd likely need an active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.  I can get into why if you're truly curious.  And since the cables are carrying a digital signal, as long as you can see a stable image, then the cable isn't making a difference.  It's not like analog signals where more expensive cables can deliver a higher quality result.  You either have a perfect, stable image, or one that suffers total signal dropouts that would obviously be noticeable, or one that delivers no signal at all.

Hi, is it possible to go from a displayport dock to a HDMI monitor?

I've got a displayport to HDMI cable, everything indicated the displayport was the input and HDMI output so no reason why it shouldn't work?
