Fingerprint reader not working

It never worked to log on to windows more than occasionally. With the "fix" driver it was maybe a little bit better, still creating more frustration then being a smart thing to use.
Of course no diagnostic ever finds a "fault", it just doesn't log me on!

It's been since day 1 of my purchase and it's never been very different.
