Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz - Killer Software?

I have a Dell XPS 17 9720 with an Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz chipset. I was told by Intel support that this device does not support Killer technology, however, Dell keeps putting Killer software on my laptop. I also have three Killer services running: KAPSService, Killer Analytics Service, and Killer Network Service.

I have removed this Killer software and services once, but it is back.

Very annoying...

Regards

You can disable the Killer software from the Startup tab in Task Manager. Or if you want to prevent Dell software and BIOS updates from auto installing simply uninstall Support Assist.

Intel did take over the old Killer Wireless division and it has changed to Intel Killer.  They do have some software available.  The cards are almost the same so perhaps drivers or software will work.  Is there nothing in the software they are downloading, that you could use?

Also, in Device Manager, it may show as an AX211 but could be one of the Intel Killer 1675 versions, although the specs on the system show Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX211 (onboard).  Do you have access to a Wi-Fi 6e router with the 6 GHz option?

I removed the Killer software but had to manually remove three services. I noticed that the driver name for the AX211 has Killer in it, so I am going to back to Intel and ask more questions. My journey started when I was seeing the Killer software crash every few minutes. This caused network lags when the Killer software restarted.

Removing all the Killer software and Services had zero impact on my network performance.

@JOcean , I do not think removing Dell Support Assist is a good idea. Turning off Killer at start-up still leaves 3-4 services running. But thank you for your suggestion.

@Saltgrass No, I do not see, in my use case, where Killer adds anything. I will look at the device ID to see if it is a 1675 in reality. My router is Wi-Fi 6 at 5 GHz, so no.

Thank you both for responding.

I only have Killer Intelligence Centre showing up on my Startup Apps section.  If I turn this off, will it solve the problem?  I am on WiFi now, because the Killer is preventing me from accessing the internet properly---iMIcrosoft thinks I am not connected to the internet, and not all my Chrome tabs are booting up.

Hi, I think we have two different issues. How did you determine Killer is the issue? What Wi-Fi chipset do you have? There are a lot of moving pieces here. Please provide more information.

Kindest regards...
