Issue with my touch screen

XPS 13 9300

XPS 13 9300

My laptop's touchscreen stopped working for no reason and the HID-compliant touchscreen is not there. I didn't delete it and I didn't open that system. The touch screen was working fine for some time but I slowly stopped using it but it was there. So how can I fix my issue?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

If the system isn't recognizing the touch hardware, you'll need to check the cable that connects the digitizer to the system board.  If it's evidently damaged, the display assembly will need to be replaced.  If not, unplug it and reconnect it to the system board to see if that causes the system to recognize it again.

The service manual is here:

There does not appear to be a separate cable for the digitizer, so see the procedure for removing the panel - it shows the connector to the system board there.
