My company just bought me the 13" XPS laptop two months ago when I started with them. The built in microphone continues to cut in and out on many different video conference platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.). I checked all of the drivers and they're updated. Not sure what else to do, but this is frustrating as I work from home and video chats are a major part of my job. This shouldn't be happening on a brand new laptop. Help please - thanks! Melinda

Did this get resolved? I'm having the same issue with a brand new (ish) Dell Latitude 5300. 

I have supplied 7 x Dell Inspirons to some of my customers's recently.  All of them are complaining about problems with the microphone when using Zoom.

I have customers complaining about this issue on Inspiron 3501, Inspiron 3505 and Inspiron 5593 models.

 are having the exact same issues on all XPS13 laptops that are brand new as of Jan 2021 and on older Dell Latitude 7480, 7490.. The mic just cuts in and out all the time as if it's adjusting to noises in the the environment. This is with Google Meet, Zoom or anything thing else that uses the Mic. Plugging in an external Mic via USB or the TRRS (3.5mm jack) connector makes the issue go away. Would like to have a solution to this also please.

Letting you know that the driver to fix the issue on your Latitude system has not yet been released. I am trying to get information on will it will be.  I will keep you updated.
