Power Companion making noise?
Is it normal for the power companion to be making noise when plugged in? Sounds like a quiet radio static.
Ordered from Amazon and slightly worried it's a fake Chinese copy. Any tips on checking it's legit?

Yes, it’s normal. If you listen carefully you’ll hear that even regular Dell AC adapters can make a periodic faint zapping/popping noise when charging a system. As for checking legitimacy, if you bought from Amazon directly rather than a third-party seller on Amazon, you should be fine. If not, I don’t know of a reliable way to tell since counterfeits have been getting quite good.
