Problems with Windows Mixed Reality and missing Video recording icon
I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 along with the Dell Headset, controllers and another headphone set that plugs into the headset for sound and all work with Windows Mixed Reality very well except for TAKING VIDEO, taking pictures is no problem. I see 2 icons when I click home and that is the camera and the flashlight and CORTANA does take PICTURES and when I say Hey Cortana take Recording it does NOTHING. Any reason why I might be missing the VIDEO RECORDING ICON. I have found a workaround but not in WMR, and that is to use Camtasia when I have a 360 degree movie after it has been converted and record outside of WMR.
Running Windows 10 Pro 1903, build 18362.175 with all updates
Noticed this problem even before Windows Creator came out, missing the video icon but had camera and flashlight present.

I think I will answer my own question, first I will say after talking to a technical specialist and allowing her to take control of this laptop for at least 3 hours we got nowhere and I am not blaming her at all. I was then transferred to a pay for solution and I refused. End of that.
So I asked myself would it work with another laptop which is an ASUS G751j 32GB , 2SSD, 2TB and 1TB and connected dell headset and paired controllers with Bluetooth and centered headset to laptop and btw the laptop passed all checks for working. After doing this I entered the cliff house and used the left controller as master and hit the windows button and lo and behold I now had 3 icons CAMERA VIDEO ICON and FLASHLIGHT. I had taken a 360deg video and connected this with a 3D Hologram, so in essence I had a dancing ballerina in my front yard. Went to camera roll cut and spliced the mp4 file and rendered it using Magix11.
My conclusion at least in my case is I cannot get the video icon appearing on the dell laptop, but it does work on the ASUS Laptop and I guess that's okay as long as it works on at least 1 laptop

Are you aware that windows 10 does not have video playing or recording capabilities? You have to have a 3rd party app for that. Free app--VLC while there are several paid apps to choose from.

it works with my asus and I have all the same apps on the DELL as well the ASUS, so how come it's working on the ASUS and not the DELL. Already tried Logitech, VLC, Xsplit, Camtasia and this is what the Dell tech specialist spent at least 3 hrs taking control of my dell and trying those apps as I mentioned above.

I have been wondering why the video icon appears on the ASUS G751J and not on the DELL XPS 15 9570 and I am thinking that the internal video cards are different. For example and I know this for a fact that occulus rift on the dell will get to a certain point and wait for an input for a video source and I have read that others get to the same point and cannot go further. On the other hand on the ASUS that I have occulus rift will install 100% but I don't like the external receiving points as compared to the dell headset where it is built in.
Has anybody out there got occulus rift to work with the Dell xps 15 9570? Has anybody out there got the video icon to appear in windows mixed reality on the dell xps 15 9570 and if so, PLEASE SHARE with the COMMUNITY on how you did THIS.
