Question about compatibility with thunderbolt 4 docking station Kensington SD5700T

I am using an XPS 15 9560 at home and an Apple M1 mac 16 pro for work. I have also a Samsung m8 that I use as my display at home with both laptops using the USB C port for connection.

Now, I am planning to get a thunderbolt 4 docking station with multiple ports, and the Kensington SD5700T is my preferred choice. 

My question relates to the compatibility of the my XPS with its only one thunderbolt 3 port - will it work with the host upstreaming thunderbolt 4 port on the docking station ? 

Do I need to consider a thunderbolt 3 docking station instead ? BUT how would that work with my Mac 16 pro that uses thunderbolt 4 ports ?? 

Any help or suggestions before I decide on which docking station to get ?
