Random 100% ssd usage

Hallo,

Now and then my usage of my ssd spikes at 100% for a while. This while my cpu an the rest of my xps 15 are barely in use. Today after that I got a blue screen with the code: System_service_exaption.

Also in task manager it said a 100% usage of the sad but no procces is using anything. Does anyone has a idea what this can be ?

Tnx.

Welcome to the Dell Community  @Niels fennema

To better assist you, we would need the exact model number of your laptop/desktop???

Identify your Dell:

We need more data to assist, but one quick thing you can try if you have Intel RST (Rapid Storage Technology) installed is disabling link power performance.

Click on the Intel RST icon in bottom right, go to performance, and then find link power management. if it's enabled, try disabling it.

otherwise you'd need to provide additional details for assistance.

1. Make/Model
2. Any changes recently to system
3. pictures of resourcemonitor/task manager
4. things you've tried (ran AV/Malware scans? tried cleaning up disk yet? tried updating drivers/SSD firwmare?
5. Any other error messages other than the BSOD you described?
6. Can you give us more details on the BSOD (use a program like bluescreenview which should give you salient details).

Otherwise, we're just guessing at your issue.
