SDXC card

Hi, I have an XPS13 9370 it's about 18 months old. I have a 128gb Scandisk USB stick for my car music. I want to back this up so I purchased a 128GB Scandisk Ultra SDXC card for the card slot in my laptop, have a backup and have it available to play on my laptop without using hard disk space. I have copied all the files (81GB) to the SDXC card and I can see them in file manager however, only about the first third if the files will actually play on my laptop. I've tried copying the files that don't work to a folder and again they won't play. I can copy a word/excel or text files to the SDXC card and they works fine, it only seems to be mp3 avi and other media files. I tried checkdisk, optimise, driver updates and finally reformatted to NTFS from exFAT, (the only two options available). None of these options have worked or reported any issues with the SDXC card.

Do I have a laptop or SD card issue, any suggestions on a solution? Thank you in advance.
