XPS 15 9570, Sandblast Checkpoint Agent

Question

I've only noticed in last few days fan noise, checked task manager and saw Checkpoint Sandblast Agent using 'Very high' amount of cpu. Does anyone know app if this is a necessary app? Thanks

This site will describe what it is (basically a security program). And this site describes how to uninstall it. Also could you post the exact model of your system? However if your system is part of your organization's security measures, you better check with your IT department first.

Thanks very much for you reply. I have a Dell XPS with Windows 10. There is no build name I came find, and even more baffling is the fact that the app is not listed in the Windows 'apps and features' screen. I have Bit Defender and would appreciate your opinion if that is sufficient. Thanks again.
