Studio 1737, keyboard not operating
Hi,
I recently bought a used 13 year old Studio 1737 for the large screen who had a problem with the US layout keyboard. Some keys not responding. I bought a used keyboard with UK layout and installed it in the laptop. The first time I switched it on the keyboard operated very well, all keys responsive. I shut the laptop which installed a new update for Windows 7 home. Next morning I started the 1737 but the keyboard was not operating. I opened the laptop , checked the connection with the M/B. All was OK but still the problem exists. Connecting an externak USB keyboard the laptop operates fine. I run BIOS diagnostics and it found problem with the keyboard connection. in an older similar situation the solution was to check the connection and make a BIOS update (mine is A05). I will make the update to A09 as soon as I receive a new battery. Any idea what is wrong and how to solve it?
