XPS 13 9350, unable to install Windows 10 Education

On my Dell XPS 13 (9350) i am trying to install windows 10 education from an usb. So i downloaded the ISO file from the schools website and used Rufus to make a bootable usb. However, when i plug in the usb and try to find it in the boot menu in bios, which is BIOS Revision 1.1.9, it does not appear.

So i heard about a "fix" to this problem that suggests manually adding the boot option in bios general > boot sequence > add boot option, but when i have to select the boot file, i can only find efi\boot\bootx64.efi. So i create a boot option from this file and make it 1st boot option. When i boot from the newly created option, it runs the windows 10 that is already pre-installed.

I hope someone can offer some assistance on how to solve this problem since google hasn't provided the answers i was looking for.

Use the Microsoft media creation tool instead of Rufus to make the flash drive.

You will need the license key provided to you by your academic institution.
