Unable to use bitlocker on Windows 11 with System Model XPS 15 9570

Hello

On a Dell  XPS 15 9570 with Windows 11, I am not able to enable bitlocker.

System Information: Device Encryption Support Reasons for failed automatic device encryption:PCR7 binding is not supported, Un-allowed DMA-capable bus/device(s) detected.

I did update the firmware of the laptop to the latest and greatest version with the Dell updater program.

TPM and all other checks for enabling bitlocker are fulfilled.

Solution according to Microsoft is:

To resolve this issue, contact the IHV(s) to determine if this device has no external DMA ports. If confirmed by the IHVs that the bus or device only has internal DMA, then the OEM can add this to the allowed list.

At the moment it is unclear to me if the device with the offending DMA-capable bus is the SSD disk itself, or the motherboard of the laptop.
There is a workaround, by adding the offending device to the list of allowed devices by a registry hack. But thats not the preferred solution to my opinion.

Can somebody of Dell have a look to this issue?

Thanks Anton Smeenk

Do you have Windows 11 Pro? Bitlocker is not available in the Home version. See this for workaround-

I have Windows 11 Pro version 21H2. The problem is that the OEM (Dell or Toshiba) did not add the device to the allowed list.

The SDD is a Model KXG50ZNV1T02 NVMe TOSHIBA 1024GB
