WD19 dock video resolutions

Hi,

I have my XPS15 connected to a WD19 dock. 2 Displays are connected to the dock.

The first display is a 4K screen connected using DisplayPort.

I had the second display is a FullHD screen. I had this one connected using HDMI, but some text was flickering.

So I decided to also connect this second display using DisplayPort. The flickering is gone, but now the maximum resolution I can select is 1600 x 900.

Any idea why I can't select FHD for this second DisplayPort connection?

Regards

You got the wrong dock .

WD19TBS is what you should be looking for

I think you got the type C version

"XPS 15" could be anything from an ancient XPS L501x to a current XPS 9520 -- and WD19 covers a range of models (WD19, WD19TB, WD19TBS), etc.  You'll get a response once you identify the exact system and dock model, and exactly how the dock is connected to the notebook (USB-C, Thunderbolt, etc.).

It's an XPS15 9550, connected via USB-C to the WD19 dock (part number 210-ARJF).

I would guess both HDMI and DP would support FHD?

You didn't mention which XPS 15 so I can not confirm if it's HBR 2 or HBR 3

Please check this Link for all supported dual and triple display configurations

Although dual FHD will work any time.

I believe you paid good money for those 4k monitors and using them as FHD doesn't make sense

Plug one monitor via dock and one directly to Notebook using C to DP cable to get dual 4K
