XPS 13 9350 Trackpad stops working all the time

Hi there!

My XPS 13 9350 Trackpad randomly stops working all the time. In the beginning it was occurring less frequent, but now I can expect it to happen at least once every 30 minutes. The only way to fix it seems to be restarting the computer. Going to device manager and deactivating/reactivating the trackpad doesn't solve the issue.

 I'm running windows 10. Also, I seem to have the latest drivers according to Dell Update. (This issue has been going on for over a year. I couldn't find any fix earlier, but given that it's happening more frequently now it's driving me nuts).

Anyone got any ideas to 
1. Find the source of this issue? 
2. Solve this problem?
