XPS 13 9370 External USB-C DP-Alt Mode Monitor not working
I have recently acquired a USB-C enabled DP-Alt Mode Monitor, which is not recognized by my XPS 13 9370. When the monitor is connected to the laptop the keyboard stops working properly and starts skipping keypresses.
I tried different operating systems such as Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows 10, the XPS 13 didn't detect the monitor with either of those.
The monitor works perfectly fine on a DP-Alt Mode enabled Smartphone and Lenovo Laptop.

Is your system/BIOS up to date? There’s a known issue with the older XPS 13 9350 and certain Dell USB-C displays, but I haven’t seen any equivalent reports with the 9370. And this is a long shot, but have you tried all of the USB-C ports? The left ports are Thunderbolt-capable and the right one (ones?) are just regular USB-C. That shouldn’t make a difference, but it might.

This situation can be the version of this monitor that is not suitable for this laptop.

I've tried every single port, it rather seems to be some issue with the laptops firmware.

Have you tried updating your bios? (Someone above mentioned it) This appears to be the latest bios update:

I'd like an answer to your question, as I'm looking at a portable external monitor that uses USB-C DP-Alt Mode, as well.
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm already running the latest BIOS Version 1.11.1.
