XPS 13 9370, Windows 10 2004, microphone volume level issues

Hello,

After Windows 10 2004 feature update, microphone array produces very low volume in my XPS 13 9370. Recipients, callers, participants in various meeting software complain that they cannot hear my voice properly. I did following without luck.

- Latest Realtek HD audio drivers updated

- Increasing Microphone boost, increases the volume level a bit but it is not enough.

Thanks if anyone has a solution to fix this issue (or Dell is preparing new drivers?).

Make sure you downloaded the new drivers from Dell and not Realtek. Dell customizes the drivers from other makers to work on your exact model laptop. If you did get updates from Realtek, install the right drivers from Dell Downloads and see if that corrects the problem.

Dell tech support fixed this issue for me this morning.  It seemed to be an issue mainly with Zoom, so last week I opened a ticket with Zoom support.  Zoom eventually got back to me with: "The fix that was provided to us by Dell is to roll back to the previous version of the Realtek audio driver.  Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.8245 for Windows 10 64 bit." Meanwhile, Dell scheduled a phone call with me for this morning, and I sent them that info from Zoom.  Dell tech support did that remote thing where they take over your screen, went in to Device Manager on my XPS and updated the audio driver such that it now says "2- High Definition Audio Device."  Zoom works now!  Hope that helps.

Thank you for the reply!

However this particular driver was not available at Dell. Downloaded and installed from this link --> https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CARD/REALTEK/Realtek-High-Definition-Audio-Driver-6-0-1-8245-for-Windows-10-64-bit.shtml however didn't solve the problem. Was the installation Dell support did for Dell XPS 9370 ?

Thank you for any other suggestion!
