XPS 13 Charging not working properly

Backstory: Laptop would not detect charger, charger became swollen/inflated, got new charger, new charger turns on and off irregularly when plugged into the computer, especially during sleep mode and when the battery is low. I do not know if it is just the charger's problem or if it is my computer's problem. I used a mac charger while waiting for the new charger to arrive and it worked perfectly. Please help!!!
