Hi mate, how did you achieve no windows sounds exactly? like set the system sound in the volume mixer to 0? I tried that way but it didn't solved my sound issue, I think maybe my understanding of turn off windows sounds is incorrect.

In Windows, open the start menu.

Type, sounds

Select the change system sounds.

Change the sounds scheme to, no sounds.

I did have the problem, seems for external sound outputs like usb links and Bluetooth the names change subtly, i.e. Ceol2 and Ceol3 created when you change the usb socket you use. Hope that helps somebody, helped me, eventually.
