XPS 15 7590 Freezes on Boot after using Dell Update Application for a BIOS Update
Hello Everyone,
I own a Dell XPS 15 7590, intel core i5, 8gb ram. Recently, I opened the Dell Update application to update my system with the latest updates. Apparently, there was a bios update that I had to do, and after successfully updating it, my XPS freezes up every time I try to boot it into windows. Basically, the dell logo pops up, and the little dots that go around in a circle to indicate that windows is booting are visible, but they freeze and stop moving halfway through the boot. I reinstalled the bios update, and I also disabled 'fast startup', as it was something that helped other users who had similar issues. However, none of these have helped. This is very annoying, as whenever I need to boot up my laptop, I have to turn it on and off multiple times before I can actually get into windows. I have also done multiple hardware tests on Dell's support assist application to ensure that there wasn't any faulty hardware, and all the tests were passed by my system. I know for a fact that the Dell Update application screwed this up, but I don't know how to get my system back to normal again.
Help of any sort will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Atharva
