XPS 15 7590, RAM upgrade compatibility

What ram is compatible with the XPS 15 7590 with a Intel i7 9750H CPU?

I bought some 32 gb hyperX ddr4 cl14 2400mhz and they didn't work.

The maximum memory supported for the 7590 is 32GB. That is 2x16 GB RAM modules =

CRXJ6 16GB, SODIMM, 2666MHz, 1Gx72, Unbuffered, DDR4, 260 Pin, Dual Rank, 1.2V, Non-Error Correction Code, Non-Encrypted

If you purchased 32 GB RAM module/s it will not work. So again that is 2 slots with 16GB in each slot for a total of 32GB. The support page for the 7590 is misleading as it states 32GB per slot and that is incorrect. The following from the support page is correct however.

Configurations supported

•4 GB DDR4 at 2667 MHz (1 x 4 GB)

•8 GB DDR4 at 2667 MHz (2 x 4 GB

•16 GB DDR4 at 2667 MHz (2 x 8 GB)

•32 GB DDR4 at 2667 MHz (2 x 16 GB)

For example.

So there were 2 x 16gb 2400mhz cl14 and would not work?

I am experiencing similar problems with my Ins15-7590 and Kingston Impact D4-2666 XMP modules, also 16GB x2 configuration ...

I believe latency value is the main cause for not booting ....

The original RAM that came with my laptop is CL19 while the ones I'm trying to upgrade to are CL15 @ D4-2666/ CL14 @ D4-2400/ CL12 @ 2133 ....

I hope Dell can fix this via BIOS fix in the future (just upgraded to the latest BIOS for my laptop and still don't work).

Or, they can update detail compatible RAM specifications in the user manual rather than just the capacities!!!!
