XPS 15 9510 (and other models) Realtek Audio Driver Question

I know updated drivers aren't always needed but I've noticed that the audio drivers for my 9510 are almost a year old and that Realtek has released many updates since then...just not customized by Dell (e.g. Waves).  Has anyone updated to other Drivers that work well?  UAD vs. HDA?

For many components, I install drivers from component manufacturers. However, for my laptops the audio driver from Dell includes Waves MaaxAudio app, whereas driver from Realtek would not. Waves MaaxAudio provides jack detection, so it's important, in addition to audio enhancements.

Some other models have separate downloads for audio driver and Waves MaaxAudio app. For such models, you might be able to use audio driver direct from Realtek.

I'll have to check to see if my headphone jack still works.  When I noticed that the latest Dell Realtek Drives didn't have as intrusive a version of Waves (MaxxAudio), I installed the latest Realek UAD drivers from Microsoft Update Catalog.  It also installs a DellWaves extension in the driverstore so that may enable the jack capability.  At some point I'll have to test.
