XPS 15 (9560) connected to U3419W via WD15 dock disconnects from wifi when lid is closed

Hello all, So this is a new problem that came up recently; I moved and didn't set up my monitor with WD15 dock for a couple months. I just got it back up and running and everything works fine except when I close the lid the Wifi stops working. The computer isn't in sleep mode and whats weird is it even shows it is still connected to the internet but when I go to any website I get nothing. If it re-open the lid it works fine again. I've tried turning off the setting that allows the computer to turn off the network adapter to save power but that hasn't seemed to do the trick. Any other thoughts? Thanks!
