XPS 15 9560, screen replacement, UHD touch to FHD non-touch
Hi
Is it possible to replace the screen for an XPS 9560 4K UHD touch, with an FHD non touch screen?
cheers

It'll require more than just the screen - you'll need to replace the top half of the system (screen, frame, bezel, hinges and cables). The parts from the touchscreen are a single fused assembly - they will not come apart to install a non-touch screen.
This is the assembly:

ejn63 is correct. Here are the tested/validated panels =
N98CY Non-touch FHD LCD
WW8NY Touch UHD LCD
X4G28 Touch UHD LCD

Thanks for the reply ejn63! and the link for the entire top half - much cheaper than getting it from Dell!
And sorry just to confirm again: so this FHD non-touch assembly is fully compatible with my what used to be 4K UHD touch model?
cheers

Confirm with parts-people, but they know Dell systems inside and out -- if they approve the purchase, it will work.

Did you go ahead with the non-touch assembly? I am wondering the same thing for the 9550 model

Anyone actually did this? Or other way, FHD to UHD 4k?

I'll try to follow up soon, about to try and go from FHD to UHD. But from what I heard, the connection between the screen and motherboard is a bit different to accommodate for the touch input. So for both ways it'll require a tinny bit more than just replacing the screen assembly itself.
