XPS 15 9570, DAW, audio latency issues
I record music, and lately my laptop has been having issues with audio latency in my DAW (digital audio workstation). Monitoring while I'm recording, the audio is delayed significantly more than it should be, which is a hindrance to recording.
What I've tried:
I record through a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 2nd generation audio interface, and the cables and interface are not an issue (tested on another laptop). Connectivity is not an issue (problem persists on both USB ports). Software is not an issue (tested on Studio One 5 Professional on both devices).
I've reinstalled the drivers/software multiple times, and while the Focusrite drivers/software often present a host of other issues, they do not seem to be the cause of the issue.
My laptop is attached via a port expander to an LG monitor, and I use a Logitech keyboard and mouse.
32GB of memory, i7-8750H CPU. Lately I have also been having issues with my graphics card (freezing up while playing video, task manager has GPU spiking at 100%, seems to be using the onboard GPU and not the NVIDIA graphics card) - not sure if this is related
This is my first time posting, so let me know if I missed anything.
