XPS 15 9570 Performance/Throttling issues

Hello all

i have a 15 inch XPS 9570 with decent specs

i7 8750H 2.2GHz
32GB 2667MHz DDR4 Ram
1TB Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus
GeForce GTX 1050Ti

Windows 11 pro

i got it recently and noticed it was frustratingly slow, I switched from a 10 year old Dell that had better boot times and overall performance.

The computer has been cleaned, has new thermal pastes and pads, all the parts are at 100% working condition, all of the drivers, bios and miscellaneous softwares are all updated, and of course a genuine battery and charger.

Even after all of the above the computer is as slow as it gets, to the point where it’s almost unusable. Temps are steady and nothing overheats .

I hope someone here had a similar experience with their own XPS and might know the solution.

Go into setup.  Does the system recognize the AC adapter, or show it as 'unknown'? You must check this -- don't assume the system recognizes the adapter just because it does run.

Thanks for the response. I must’ve missed the process when checking. Could you tell me how I can access the setup in order to check the AC adapter?
