XPS 15 9570, blacks, shadows are crushed pixelated, #2
What might be the solution to this? Although the bright parts and highlights reproduce colors perfectly, the dark parts look so worse. Also, there's a color banding problem in dark and shadow parts. Help!

* Click my DELL-name and private message me the following information =
- service tag number
- Your shipping address, phone number, email address
I do not see anything wrong in those three photos. You are going to have to show us pictures with arrows pointing to what you think is wrong.
* Turn the room lights on
* Run the LCD Built-in Self Test (BIST)
* Post pictures of the BIST showing the issue

Hi Chris,
I ran the BIST but I see no problems there. The problem isn't when the display is showing bright and vibrant images but the problem occurs when the video or photo has a dark or shadow part. Whenever the scene in the video turns in the dark from bright, I see lots of color bandings and the dark (shadow) parts of the video show no details even though the video I am playing is UHD with a high bitrate. I even tried different video players but the problems remained the same. Applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc. also show the same results while playing the video or editing the images.
I also realized the screenshot from my laptop doesn't capture the problem. So I have taken shots from the phone and posted them with little notes. I hope it helps you to understand my problem.
My display was OK until the Windows 10 - v 1903 update. After a few days since the update, I started noticing these problems.
Thanks,
esenes
PS. I will private message you the Service Tag Number and other info once you are online.

I saw this thread before I posted my own thread. I followed the procedure as instructed in that other thread but unfortunately, it didn't solve my problem. I already tried the same process 3-4 times but I couldn't get it to work.
Did those steps help you solve your problem?? Let me know if you do solve your problem in any other ways.
My last option is to boot older version of Windows 10 OS and see if it helps cuz I noticed this problem after my Windows Update to version 1903.

No, I have not. I am still waiting for someone from Dell to reply to me with a proper solution.
