XPS 15 9570 external mic issues

Hey all,
After today's windows 10 update I've found that my corsair HS35 gaming headset has become incapable of mic input, it was working fine 2 days ago and then suddenly I'm only able to get any input from the laptop's internal mic.

I've checked and updated all drivers, I've checked that it's not the mic itself by plugging it into my Series X (it works fine) , I've scrolled for 3 hours trying to figure out what's going on but I'm turning up nothing, any help would be much appreciated.
