XPS 15 Docking station issues

Question

XPS 15 (9510) latest bios (1.7.0), Windows 11 (all updated) and a WD19S (latest firmware) docking station

After I figured out this issue, the docking station has been working great

Now months later my SO has come to me and said that the docking station isnt working again (within the last week or so). When I plug it into the docking station the laptop starts charging however none of the keyboard/mouse/monitors works (external mouse and keyboard do nothing)

Not sure if there was a new windows update/driver pushed out.

Even the docking station upgrade utility doesnt detect the docking station (with the issue above in the previous link the utility detected the docking station as it was an HDMI port issue on the docking station itself)

I unplugged all the usb and power from the docking station and noticed the light on the docking station plug is still lit. Does the docking station have a battery?

So I unplug everything and noticed my SO had another power brick she was plugging into for whatever reason (supposed to be in her travel bag).  Remove that and plugged right into the docking station and everything came up.  *face palm* so im gonna mark this as resolved and try to figure what in the world is going on and why she was using her travel power supply at her desk
