XPS 15 Windows 10, getting error: Audio services not responding.
Hello all.
This happened after I was trying to fix an existing audio issue where the volume on my headphones (SteelSeries Arctis 5, in case that's relevant) were lower than normal. I restarted Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder in Services to try and fix that initial problem, but after that my laptop stopped playing any audio. I ran a troubleshoot and it gave me the error "Audio services not responding".
Things I tried after the fact:
- Checked regedit value for ServiceDll - no issues there
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the Realtek audio drivers, and my headphone audio drivers
- Updated all audio drivers (they were already all up to date as of today)
- Updated Windows and restarted laptop
- Restarted Windows Audio/Windows Audio Endpoint/Plug and Play services again, then restarted laptop
I still get the same error. What else can I do?
