XPS 17, BIOS updated, no boot, lost OS
Since I got my Dell XPS 17 Laptop, I have had two experiences with a Dell Update killing my computer. I have a local computer nerd I work with that fixed it the first time and now currently. Yet it is so rotten. I updated the confirmed Dell BIOS update now my computer is refusing to boot, and I lost my operating system. Once under warranty and since just yesterday without. Seems to me that it is a lovely productive computer but is a thoroughbred. I call Dell and I end up talking to a person in the Philippines. This is my last Dell I get unless they give me a complementary check, about $500.00, to pay for what I must spend to get it running again. As a professional artist, and documentary artist especially, it is very unnerving. So even though I have two disk drives I can lose my work. Which is why I got this computer in the first place. Now I must get an external hard drive to protect my work. They are not a dependable company if they do not fix their bugs that destroys our computers. Our work is important to us. Not a happy person.
