XPS 17 - Battery drains while sleeping, and Disabling Windows Modern Standby
XPS 17 9700
Researching the reason my battery drains every night when in sleep/hibernate mode, I discovered it's because of Windows Modern Standby.
My question is: If I disable this feature by editing the registry key as described here (https://winaero.com/how-to-disable-modern-standby-in-windows-11-and-windows-10/),will that solve the problem?
And if so, would it then be safe to transport the computer in sleep or hibernate mode in my laptop bag?
It is pretty important I be able to save my open applications, files, and tabs when I leave the office then pick up the work at home later. Had I known this was a restriction on Dells I would have definitely purchased a different brand.

My battery doesn't drain because I leave it in modern standby for a time period I want, the let it go into hibernation.
While in low power mode, it uses around 2 % per hour and none while in hibernation.
