XPS 7390 doesn't wake up to do backup
I just bought a XPS 7390 2-in-1 laptop. It mostly performs very well, and I love it. I have a Windows Server 2016 Essentials on the network, and the laptop is setup to automatically wake up at 3:54am to send backup to the Server Essentials. However, night after night the backup doesn't happen.
Manually performed backup through Server Essentials Connector's LauchPad, it went successfully without issues. Looked into Task Scheduler's history, I found the task has been missed everyday. It seems the laptop has never even tried to do the backup task.
So I checked the Event Log, and found there are numerous Error Event ID 17 from source DPTF like this:
ESIF(8.6.10401.9906) TYPE: ERROR MODULE: ACTION FUNC: EsifActWriteLogHandler FILE: esif_uf_action.c LINE: 789 TIME: 331055791 ms
UPE_SOCWC:[CalculateProcessorPkgC0@socwc_telemetry.c#317]<331055791 ms>: Error: Total Processor Pkg CState Residency count = 0xCDB604E384 > TSC Delta = 0xF55856B67
Since it looks like the problem is related to Intel Dynamic Tuning, I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, but it didn't help.
In the Device Manager, I also found, under System devices, ACPI Fan, ACPI Lid, ACPI Power Button and ACPI Thermal Zone have been hidden and their status is "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)." However, Dell seems to have its own software to control the laptop's sleep and power.
Has anyone experienced this problem or any insight to solving it? Thanks in advance.
By the way, I have updated the laptop to the latest BIOS and drivers after I brought the laptop home.

Just saw this on my 7390 2-in-1 as well. It has spewed error
ESIF(8.6.10401.9906) TYPE: ERROR MODULE: ACTION FUNC: EsifActWriteLogHandler FILE: esif_uf_action.c LINE: 789 TIME: 131723638 ms
UPE_SOCWC:[CalculateProcessorPkgC0@socwc_telemetry.c#317]<131723638 ms>: Error: Total Processor Pkg CState Residency count = 0x11409D7A5A > TSC Delta = 0x113C384589
It doesn't start immediately though, but rather 4-5h after I closed the laptop and put it away.
Ater that it logged all night, once every minute basically. Only seem to happen during sleep though. Maybe this explains why it's draining battery when closed, but this night it was plugged in. Looking back through the logs, I see this happening basically every time the computer lid is closed, after some time. Sounds like a major bug to me.

I also have a new XPS 7390 2-in-1 that was not waking for Server Essential backups. The default Dell power settings put the laptop to sleep after 4 minutes and into hibernation after 20 minutes on battery power. Of course, the backup only works when the laptop is plugged in and those power settings leave the laptop in the sleep mode. I changed the settings to also hibernate the laptop after 20 minutes when plugged in and the backup worked.

Even in 2023, still getting this error, unsure how to resolve. I got the error
WHEA-Logger Warning, eventID 17
Source: DPTF
ERROR MODULE: ACTION FUNC: EsifActWriteLogHandler FILE: esif_uf_action.c
This seems to be associated with sleep / lid close events as well. Anyone manage to find a solution?
